man, it's been a Loooooong time since i messed with zipzaps..but the ZZMT caught my eye. picked up a dragon slayer kit, wheels, motor/gears and the american truck body pack among other things. wound up tossing a blue mach1 body on it for now.

im having some fun at work driving this thing all over my desk and keyboard.
my coworkers want to buy some now.

anyway, it's less than a day old and ive already got big plans..

ooF. i guess im already on probation then, eh?

already scavenged the stationery closet at work for some metal binder clips, just made a wheelie bar. added some spacers to the front wheels
and took a black pinion from the mustang mach1 se motor and it seems to climb better now. red motor with green gears and black pinion seems to be a good start.

as soon as i get home on monday this thing is getting a lipo 145mah.

hey are those ZZMT wheel nuts 2mm?

yeah. i know, i will get pics. i work 2 hours from home..so i stay in the
area for a few days till i'm done with enough work. i go home tomorrow.

yup im the same clint from xmodworld and tinyrc. been wanting a reason
to get over here. when xmods came out i kinda lost interest in zz's..but
i feel there's lots of fun in the zzmt. i wonder if i could work out a small
brushless to fit in the mt. :-D there are several small brushlees helicopter tail motors that just might work. just imagine all that torque!

haha check this out. 6volt 6mm 8980kv brushless motor weight 2.8grams. max 100000rpm. 250mah at 40,000 rpm. perfect for a 3.7v kokam 145.

http://www.maxonmotorusa.com/files/cata ... _150_e.pdf

now to find a controller.
edit: this looks promising.

i got a zzmt on sale too, with a zzse for only another $6.25 or so. if that brushless motor has 3 leads, they do make micro esc's for airplanes that will be small enough for a zzmt- dont know wbout a reciever that is 75 mhz though.

thats the prob

my lhs has some super duper sub micro 4ch receiver and two servos 75$ for the kit. each servo is about the size of a dime, id have to check on tq. thing is, it's 72mhz meant for air. my mx-3 is 75.. so i'd need to buy a new radio. :/ time to check ebay.

i called that company about the 6mm motor..sensored. dammnit.
they did say they had a 20mm pancake sensorless. 20mmx9.8mm, they
are going to send me a pdf.
feigao has a 12mmx22mm. it would fit standing upright. gearbox would
be interesting.

oh, i thought of a 75 mhz reciever that should fit- gws r4p ground version.

here is a link.. http://www.tti-us.com/shop/product_info ... cts_id=131

cheap too, although i dont know if standard crystals will fit right- they can probly be modded in easy though. then, a 3.6 gram bluebird servo, with some kind of esc..

i didnt buy this receiver for my xmod for that exact reason.. didnt want to run mismatched crystals. but you are right i could adapt a normal sized 75mhz crystal very easily. i would be required to run a 2 cell 145 at 7.4v and a 2s esc with bec, if i use that receiver. the feigao 12mmx22mm brushless is looking very appealing at this time.
the mt black chassis will have to go. my lhs stocks brass rod, so this thing might end up looking similar to a tttt(minus the superb german craftsmanship).

Nice to see so many new people dropping by, but guys, please, the shift key is not our enemy, it is our friend. :-)

Ok, may as well make the locals happy :-).

Yeah, I think a Feigo with 2's 140, a GWS reciever, a 3.6 gram Bluebird servo and whatever brushless controller- not sure, maybe a CC Phoenix 4, if that can handle a Feigo. If not, then one of the Jeti ones.

Hell, what does it matter to me- I dont have the money to buy this stuff

well here's stage 1.

lipo.

OK!!!! Cut out some of the plastic ribbing along the inside of the chassis and dropped the lipo in.

Played leapfrog. This thing hops along like a little froggy now. It's truly hilarious.
