Actually, I've found the real fun and easy mods to be adding a 4th gear (super low gear reduction), upgrading the steering motor and weighting the wheels with thick solder wire. I'll do the articulation mod soon, but the gear reduction really changes the way you drive it.

See that's why I'm easily bored with the MT. I don't want a crawler, I like to go off road fast, and jump and stuff, the MT is not a really a jumper. I'm still looking to extend the chassis, I want a better balanced car, so I can go faster.

Ditto dave.
I do want a crawler, more so I can say "look I did it, and I have one too", but fast off-roading would be where it's at for me.
Maybe one day I'll have one of each. lol

Yeah, fo sho. I have one set up as a crawler as described earlier, one that is fairly stock, and one that has the fast motor and gear combo. The thing that's fun about the crawler is that when you slow them down, those big tires and all that torque make them great for driving on piles of laundry or junk mail. They can be the right speed for tabletop driving.
Another fun trick is to wrap tape around the tires and drive them on a smooth surface. The all-wheel drive and low traction makes for, dare I say it, a decent drifting experience.

What I plan on using the articulation for is these rocks by my pool.
I don't know if you guys remember this video I shot last year, but that was one of the hard-ships, I had to find the perfect path or I kept getting stuck on some of the bigger rocks.

That's the joy of a crawler in a nutshell. Makes it almost like a little game to get from one place to another, even if it's just across the blanket on your bed.

Not after my trip to see payaso, now it's got matching broken side-view mirros, a bunch of scuffs, and stiff suspension.
I loved that thing. I even took a cellphone pic of some ho in one in front of me at the drive-thru during lunch.
That ho.
