Those should work well. I scrape the tip of my knife back and forth to cut to cut through thick plastic. That's basically the same as sawing.

same here, you know me, livin on the edge...
I always use an x-acto knife and slice me a nice guide line to follow, then I start going over it again adding pressure until I'm cutting through.
