Hmmm, wish I'd known. The center soft top section actually was designed to come out but I glued it in cuz it would have fallen out every time I rolled it.
I built it for my Dad in Ct. so it's not in my possession anymore. Maybe I can get him to snap some better close ups on their rock course. The x mod shocks are to limit articulation and help prevent torque twist although they're not that good at the latter on steep climbs when the front end is unweighted. I used a single spring design on another one which is kind of the opposite of this design in that it prevents torque twist better but limits articulation in some instances.

it cleared the ledge but the pics didn't come out... anyway you get the idea.

what's pretty cool with this set up is that by running two mts on the same channel as in the pics you can drive the one being winched up the ledge as the other spools line in when you drive... if you back up the winch spools out with you... essentially it becomes a one man winching operation

Thanks for the positive feedback. I hope to post some video soon. I fried the battery in my beater crawler (the only one in my possession (sp?) right now) so as soon as I get it rebuilt I'll do some filming.
