Hey guys,
I ended up with a bit racer, and am getting somewhat interested in them, does anybody know if the parts are still available to buy anywhere ? Same with the track.
I'd like to build a few custom ones, and race them at home, but without a track I dont think they are much use.
I'd like to find a few of these, they seem pretty cool, so if anybody has any info on them, it would be much appreicated. I'm talking about info like, pictures, videos?,manuals, reviews?, that kinda thing.
Lastly, how many of you guys have/have had them ? and what were your impressions. Other than using the gears for bits
Thanks guys.

You nailed it right there... you take it off of the charger, put it on the floor, watch it rocket off...
The REAL fun part is finding it after that...

I've got a couple of them, and a track around here. Think of a cross between a slotcar and a bottle rocket.
They're fun, and much faster than any of the Bits/Zips/Clones I had, though it does kinda wear off after a bit since you're really mostly just watching them do their own thing. I guess it'd be about like being a crew-chief for a race team, you do the chassis work, but are just forced to sit on the side and watch the real action.

Try a Sizzlers Fat Track, Sizzlers are similar without the ability to mod. You can pick up a Fat Track at Target for $30 or try to get one of the more intricate vintage Fat Track layouts off of ebay.

I don't think they have a Target in NZ.

Oopps, my bad. I didn't even pay attention to where honda_s2000 was from. I'll pay more attention before I post from now on.
honda_s2000, if your interested in the different Fat Track layouts I can provide you with information on all the different layouts available. Just send me a PM.

The Krispy Kreme nearest to me closed (now it's a Dunkin' Donuts.) I've been hearing they have been in trouble. I'm guessing too many people have switched to low-carb diets around here. If a Krispy Kreme can't survive in Philadelphia, PA it has to be in trouble.

They all closed around here too. That's ok I never like them. All fluff, no substance. I love donuts because they sit solid in my stomach. Besides when I want a chocolate donut, I want a chocolate donut, not a glazed donut with a little chocolate on top.
Mmmm donuts, I love donuts. Oh yeah, anyways, the subject... I always killed KITT Racers right away for parts. Never even crossed my mind to charge one up and see what it does.
I think I still have one in the box around here somewhere, I'm gonna have to dig it out a play with it. Might help to pass some time.

I did the same Dave. Kept the chassis and used it to break in my rotors.
