Most of the time you won't be needing bolts or screws, when building something like a TTTT, you'll use different types of glues, and maybe some foam tape, or even 'blu-tak to hold the body on.

As for the gears, they can be bought a few places on-line, for TTTT gears, hit www.tttt-parts.org the owner understands English well, though you are ordering from Germany. They accept paypal, too.

If you really want to use screws, get an old portable electronic item (walkman, cd player, car radio, video cass. recorder, etc.), and disassemle it. Lots of small screws in them, and you might find some useful gears, Even worm gears. But most of the gears are fairly big for micro stuff.
Oh yeah. You'll need the micro drill set, like the RS one, to predrill holes.

I get all my small screws and nuts and such at Fry's electronics. Most places that sell electronic items sell small screws and nuts. I even bought a small driver that will even take appart the cell phones with star drivers.

I usually get my small screws from busted hard disks. I have an occassional hobby of dissecting hard disks or motherboards.
