Mark my words, in a couple/few years the cycle will begin again when the next cool threakthrough/innovation in miniaturization of electronics and power comes through.

Amen! I can remember leaving work early so I could stop at TRU, just to check if they got anything new. Same with Radio Shack. Now I occasionally stop in RS, only to be depresesed by the scraps that still remain.

I was in RS to get a soldering iron a couple days ago, and they had nothing, nothing, and nothing in Zip Zaps. I figured, "Welp, I just got a new soldering iron, that should last for years, I guess, I'm done with Radio Shack." Good thing too, I always hated Radio Shack. All my crap came from Radio Shack when I was a kid. Never had a good selection of clones here, but I do miss the Thunder Chargers. $5 bucks and they worked good.

So use a Zip Zap controller, or swap the motor wires and use a Microsizer controller. hell, I use a pistol grip from a 1/25th Superslicks for most my cars. Its a non-issue.

That's still my favorite controller to use... I love the feel of the buttons (on a good one). I also like the button layout better than Bit/MS controllers.
They even look good, if you paint 'em...
