I had a 1/10 scale grasshoper and a Hornet years ago (actualy I think I have most of the grasshoper somewhere still) so as junky as these probably are I'll still have to have one...now if they just make a wild willies and lunchbox I can completely re-live my childhood!

I did this a few years ago..
I also did a Hornet version, and got micro decal sets made for several other vintage Tamiya buggies

Oh man, I just crapped myself so hard over that last night, I forgot to even reply.
I kinda vaguely thought I needed a Q-steer just to complete my collection, but tiny Tamiya cars? I hafta hafta have that. Not preordering, but I will have one or two, maybe three!

I had a bruiser, but unfortunately I sold it about 10 years ago... it was mint. Don't tell me those are worth a lot.

Shit. Mine was virtually undriven. Not only that, it was unpainted and there wasn't a scratch on it.
Yep, and in the same box of shit I sold, there were two RC-10's and two Optima's... yep. A box full of OG 80's RCs. I sold the whole box for $300 in 1995. Seemed like a fair deal at the time.

Are you kidding me? In like new condition they were up to 1700-1800.
But that was before the HiLift was released. I haven't seen the prices since.

Yeah. I hadn't looked at them in a few months though so I didn't know what value was now on them, it was estimated.

Yeah I have about 3 of those sets (and I still tell myself I'm not a collector
).

the High Lift was a nice step in the right direction, but still can't be compared to the old Bruiser/Mountaineer/Hilux trucks of the 80's. Half of a freakin' chopped up body was going for more than $60 on the bay a few days ago.

Yeah its getting crazy, now its happening with the TLT. The problem with the bruiser is it was way before its time, if they brought out a copy of the bruiser kit with the yota body Tamiya would make a killing. I don't know why they can't figure it out, they should open their eyes to what the RC off road community wants.

Getting back on topic......
Maybe it's my frustration at this minute, but these are 60 mm long. Do you know that that's the length of a standard zip?
Maybe we all can have offroad bits
I'm thinking about how good a F350 off of a ZZMT would look on one of those designed to look like tamiya 4wd with the wide wheels and tires. For that matter, a Herbie Zip.
