KONAMI Formula DigiQ???

Post by sidewinder »

Has anyone had one of these? They are propo and they even have adjustments to steering rate and the esc is evidently programable. They have a racing mode where the brakes "fade" as time passes to simulate real F1 racing. They sound pretty cool and the detail is very good. They are 110mm so a little bigger than a zip but smaller than a

Be careful, the Formula DigiQs are cool...But the front wheels are STATIONARY!

Steering is done via differential speed control of rear wheels (each wheel has its' own motor). Basically, just like how the DigiQ works (if you're familiar with them).

Unless you're a big fan of DigiQ and how the driving/steering system works...I'd recommend not spending more than $35-$40 on this (if you can get it for that little), otherwise you might end up being disappointed.

Thanks, I found them on Ebay UK, I've seen them here before but never paid attention. It looks like there abot $29 but the shipping would be around $33 so maybe I'll pass. I was looking for metl-tech racers but they seem to have been discontinued. I guess I'll stick with my zap se's for now until I find another propo micro. I may have to break down and try to make one myself...to bad I have no clue when it comes to electronics. :-(

Oh well, the tiny pan car that I'm planning for some micro t parts should keep me entertained until I find something smaller thats propo. :???:

Metl-Tech looks promising, but the info I've heard about them is there's a delay between the Tx and Rx, not to mention the awkward Tx. Every so often you'll see them on eBay, but for like $50 (which I think is WAY too much for it).

The smallest scale, full propo, still readily available vehicle I'd say would be the Epoch Indoor Racer (Spec2). 1/43rd scale, FULL Propo and fast as hell.

A custom job would be cool though, good luck.
