Darktari's dark plan

Post by crazydave »

You guys know DT is all about modding bits. He is probably one of the most prolific modders of bits ever. Add to that his passion to encourage others to mod. He has always put up prizes for contest to encourage others to mod their bits, and he usually provides the winners with more bits to mod as prizes. It's not uncommon for a pimp to find a surprise package in the mail box with a gift from DT, more bits to mod! What an absolutely great guy!

... or so it seems. :???:

You gotta appreciate his dedication to the hobby, but who is that cool really? I finally figured it out. I know DT's evil master plan. We've seen his stash. By the time he is done, he will have every bit in the world modded, except one of each in his stash, and we're the pawns in his game! Well I'm not falling for it DT, I still have a stock Herbie!

 Just funnin' ya DT. I had a feeling you expected me to do something with this Herbie you sent me, but by now it's my last stock Zip Zap, and I always had an affection for Herbie. So I do appreciate the little guy even if I haven't hacked him up. :-o

Too true!
Just think of the stash he'd have if he wasn't giving away all that great booty (you know what I mean!) lol

Hats off to DT, the guy's a fuckin pimp.
Dear Life Cereal, Where do you get off? Part of a balanced breakfast and delicious? Who do you think you are? By now you may have guessed I'm speaking ironically and have nothing but good things to say about what you do. Life cereal do not change a thing.

Yep, DT is the man, but you might be on to something with this " master plan " thing.

I'm stoked I just ordered a couple of reduction motors from Solarbotics which (fingers crossed) will allow me to have stupid torquey steering w/o wasting mt parts.
The devil made me do it the first time, the second time I done it on my own...

I think that's the kind of stuff that will fetch big money in the future, because you got Coke memorabilia collectors bidding against RC enthusiast, and toy collectors.

Yeah IR's have their ups and downs. The Takara Q-Steer line of cars and buggies are all IR's, which reminds me DT, they have a scion Db (which I'm sure you know is pretty much the same as the xB). And, the Q-Steer cars are known for their precise nature. They drive very strait. As for the buggies, I can't praise them so highly. Anyway, you would love those. If you search eBay or the net you can find them around.

Thanx SM, Checked them out on ebay. I thought Q-Steers were controlled (steering) by left/right speed, not turning wheels ! (if I said that right) LOL

The Toyota is bB which was the original Tomy (Japanese) version.

Nah, you're thinking of Digi-Qs. Q-Steer have wheels that steer. Get it?

I need to check out them Q-Steers. I alway dug the Penny Racer look, but hated the idea of Digi-Q's tank steering. I'm pretty sure they even have the penny clip to make it pull wheelies. I just haven't been micro oriented lately.

Well RedRustBucket, to tell you the truth, they are awesome! I have two Q-Steer's with plans to get another or two. I have the red Mazda RX-8 and the red and black AE 86 Tureno with drift wheels. The controllers are about the same size as the car and have the standard two buttons to controls forward/backward and left/right movement as well as a turbo button for those NOS moments. You can get different gears, motors, and wheels (plastic ones for 'drifitng'). They aren't particularly fast but they sure are fun. The motors have good torque to them as they can climb inclines very well. They do have the slot in the back for wheelies and doughnuts. If you look on youtube you can see people who tape coins to the front of the car to shift the weight and actually drift them, countersteering and all. There is also a guy on there who drifts with nothing on the car at all! Here are some cool youtube vids about them.

I think what makes them so fun is their tiny size and quality. Gotta love 'em.

If I were to drink soda, Coke would be the last choice - but I have to admit there's 2 Coke vehicles I want there.
So if anyone gets some of that shit and wants to trade. Let me know.
