Lokks pretty cool. Have you considered something military-like for the body? Maybe find a suitable doner in a dollar store. With the war going there are all sorts of cheap plastic military toys for kids that mught be about the right size and light enough.
You could do something lke this:

Does anybody know the best way to make an extended drive shaft the one i made is kinda crappy, it's two regular drive shafts held together with a coffee stir straw inside of a pen tube.

I used a carpenters nail and using a dremel, cut out a square on each sit and friction fit the gears on it. You can try that or at hobby shops, they have all sorts of different assorted sizes of metal and wood sticks (tube, square, etc).

I cut my d/s in half and use brass tubing to sleeve it. Stock d/s dia. is approx 1/8" ( .125"). The tubing I.D. I use is a hair small but I ream it with a drill bit to fit and epoxy it in when I like the w/b.
The devil made me do it the first time, the second time I done it on my own...

If the DS is .125 then you could get a steel rod at the hardware store for around a buck or two and cut it to lenght. Or you could go really trick and get aluminum...I seriously doubt that a zap could ever make enough torque to bend it

Looking good! About the six wheel mod...It would e cool but I wonder if anyone has ever done an eight wheel mod. You'd need a second steering box and front end stuff but it would be wicked. Anyway, probably a stupid idea... keep up the good workzipperzack wrote: Thanks for the help, guess im goin to da hardware store. The next thing that i want to do is a six wheel drive mod.
Hey how long s it now? I'll keep my eyes peeled for light weight bodies in the aproximate size.
