I think your signature is too big, and has clowns in it... :-)

Chances are you've broken some steering wires. Check yr PCB and front end.
Oh, and Welcome to the land of tiny soldering hell. I think SuperFly had a bad ass tutorial somewheres around - try the search button.

Well in stead of having to chop up a whole other bit, you could just take the steering coils out of the scraps of the second one you used and swap them out. If that doesn't fix the problem, then the problem has to lie with the pcb board. :o

I have already swapped out the steering coils and still nothing so it is the pcb, but i have a couple of pcb's in my scraps so i will just hook one of them up and see what it does.

EDIT
is it possible to put a servo for steering? like a zzse?

I don't think so, or at least not very easily. When I took apart my broken zzse to get the servo out for my crawler, it had a few extra thingamajigs attached to it. So from a normal bit, you would have to fit all of the parts from a zzse into it and the pcb board. It would be quite an ambitious IMHO.

Oh man, I thought it was going to be an old Impala, not one of the 90s ones. Looks cool anyway!

Can you atleast back off to ONE way too big picture of clowns for your signature? Your sig uses more space than the content of your posts.
