WTF you talkin' Willis?
"...like ZZ-M clones...but better..."
Uh, so in what ways were they better?
Did you grab a Crappy Cellphone Pic (tm) ?
What size were they?
There are Tomy PowerBrutes, Charg-n-Go trucks, Truck bodied Bullet Clones, ZZ-M, and I think Shen had something truckish out but nobody could get us more info.

Why does everyone assume that everbodies cell phone has a camera? Or even a cell phone? I hate the damned things...why would you want people to be ale to bother you when you're out? I got one of the $20 trac fones in the car for emergencies...did I mention I hate...oh hell, nobodies listening to me by now anyway...

I have a camera in my phone but rarely use it. I have used it to take images in a store when my camera is in the car.sidewinder wrote:Why does everyone assume that everbodies cell phone has a camera? Exactly, if I'm not at home, I'm busy! I tried to buy a key chain camera, but it was useless.sidewinder wrote:Why does everyone assume that everbodies cell phone has a camera? Or even a cell phone? I also hate cellphones, but they are a fact of life almost everywhere you go, because almost every asshole I ever see has one either epoxied to their head, sticking out of a pocket, or chained to their belt. I now have to sit through 10+ minutes of "Turn off your phone" before any movie in theaters thanks to those people.
Plus very few people go to a CAR SHOW without some form of picture taking device; be it form of camera, heliograph, hot girl with drawing supplies... It seemed reasonable in this day and age that there was a high probability one person he went to a car show with might have had an image recording device with them.
Anyway, I asked because even the worst picture or vague description is a bit better to help identify it than "I think it was a clone, and it's better than a ____. I didn't buy one, or get the name, or anything helpful, what was it?!?!?!" Come on man, you've been here long enough to remember when micro RCs were sorta popular and available everywhere and this kind of thread would pop up every couple weeks?

I'm still probably the only one that still refuses to get one. Even Sidewinder said he has one he keeps in the car.
I just want a game playing, picture taking, video making, movie watchin', music downloadin', internet accessin', hand held device with a lighter, a flashlight, and a bottle opener, but no damn phone.
Oh yeah, wasn't there a thread about MT something or something? I forget.

I originally got mine after I was sitting on public transit (train) for nearly 3 hours for a 30 minute ride. Figured if I had a phone I could call the person picking me up at the stop not to sit there forever waiting for me. I could call them when a few stops away and then they could pick me up.
My PDA can access the internet, email, games, play music and view images. My current phone has a camera (rarely use) internet access (don't pay for it), and a FLASHLIGHT. Well the flashlight is bright LED, I used it when the power goes out at work to find the server to make sure the backup battery shuts it down and then the stairs.crazydave wrote:I just want a game playing, picture taking, video making, movie watchin', music downloadin', internet accessin', hand held device with a lighter, a flashlight, and a bottle opener, but no damn phone.
Yeah, but the person (idiot, moron, evil doer) gave us so little information about it we kind of gave up on it.crazydave wrote:Oh yeah, wasn't there a thread about MT something or something? I forget.

i gotta admit, i'm a gadget geek.
My mobile phone is a sony ericsson w910i - it's got 4gb flash memory, mp3 player, bluetooth stereo linkup with my motorcycle helmet, 2.2megapixel digital camera (not great size, but good optics), wireless internets and works as a wireless modem for my laptop.
oh yeah, it makes calls too

Wow dude, I'm all for bikes...I've owned probably around 20 in my life (I should try to count someday) I still have two in the garage that I'm planning on restoring eventualy. And I'm glad to hear you wear a helmut...but I doubt that music in the helmet while you ride is a good idea. Trust me on this, there are insane people out there who hate bikers and they wil try to crash you (then claim they didn't see you). If you're going to ride be as alert as you can...If you're ever around I'll be happy to show you the scars on my back from one lapsed second and an old womanin a civic.
Oh and remember, if your out with your friends and your woman wants to track you there are services...so leave the phone at home and lie, lie, lie.

It's law down here to wear a helmet
I've had the music debate a few times - i usually only listen to music on long trips where boredom or fatigue are likely to set in - not for commuting or running around town. Even then, i don't crank the volume.
The funniest are phone calls though... People's reactions are classic when they call and ask "Oh, are you driving?" and you explain "Nah, just riding my motorbike"...
I've had a few small spills - worst was a dislocated shoulder and cracked collarbone - but i've lost mates on bikes. I take my safety seriously.
