Battery question

How would I go about charging a 6-Cell version if this?

Any specific chargers out there I should know about?

most hobby chargers will do 4 - 8 nimh/nicad cells, just check the specs before buying

This question us unrelated to my first one, but a battery Q none the less.

I googled it and everything, but, What happens when you drop a battery in water?

They say, do not throw in fire, so it hit me, what about water. I'm a little scared to try it, so if there is a link about it....

I'm thinking the water would shock you if you put your finger in it (not pure water tho)

I beleive it would get wet.

Try it. See what happens. Its not going to shock you. Its well under 2v.

it's the amps that'll kill ya, 70 ma across the heart and it's curtains!
basically the shock interupts the heart's natural pacemaker and it waits around for another jolt, usually when the ambulance arrives! (if ya lucky)

but there won't be enough current in a small single cell to give you anything more than a tingle. lithium cells and larger batt packs could be a danger.

generally though, when a car is running the batts and motor can happily get wet

Yeah, looks fine.. If you want to get a nicer charger that will have enough features you probably wont need another, I have only heard good stuff about the duratrax pirahna digital. Its $50.

As far as the voltage to shock you, I've found 40 volts and up will do the job, lol.. 300 volts is a bit more intresting, but will definatly result in wet pants if done by accident

Its been mentioned before, but its not the volts that get you, its the amps. Perfect example is static electricity. The static zap you get from rubbing your feet on the carpet can be in the range of 50,000 - 100,000 volts, but there's no amps to back it up, so you just get a little jolt.
