Bit to the 2nd Power

Mostly dealing with electronics and pcbs and modifying them, all the things that make electrical-engineers tick and the rest of us cringe in fear.

It's because they're all unemployed! They're just sitting around all day making little cars!

soooo...big brother was watching all the time eh ?

i´m glad you guys also show interest in my project...but i gotta straighten up a few things before we continue....

-i´m not german...i´m a filipino living in austria...
-i´m not unemployed either 8-) ... i got enuff money that i don´t need to work...just kidding

...nah...i just thought a project like this might shake things up a bit in the bit-scene...

this is the deal: the buggy is not suppose to exeed 7cm length...right now it measures 6,2cm - it looks that i have to use up the 7cm length limit.

-so as you can see guys, it´s not 1:87...its just slighty bigger than a bit.

i´m working on the suspension right now while i´m waiting for more parts (electonics)...

btw. :

keep on watching...theres more to come.

...is that pimpin? 8-)

@Slick

Why didnt you take advantage of having your custom motor carraige??? If you want ultimate off road and bumpy performance you shoulda put the motor in front of the rear axle...

Other than that, its a freakin awesome ride... lol, im gonna have to build one with the same goals in mind... fun stuff

...i did of course take advantage of all the possibilities i had...
...anybody who ever tried anything like this surely had experienced a point where he was forced to a compromise solution...in that case, one always goes with the best compromise...

size is a major issue here...i was fighting for every millimeter i can get...

i´ll show you a n earlier version of my gearbox...

look here :

version 2

latest/last version

look closely...see the difference?

the motor is in front of the axle in the earlier version...on the cost of a worse COG. beside of having a not so ideal COG, the size of the gear box was just too big...

so the latest version had a more compact design...and a good compromise between size and COG location. the motor is now placed directly over the axle...

i dunno if it can get better than this...if it does...then i´d be glad if anybody can show me how...

:???: :-?

anyway...i´d really really like to stick to my 7cm size limit...the buggy is supposed to stay small - thats where the challenge is...

i´m glad yer lovin´my work fellas...
...huh?...
