Feeling Kinda Mad

My internet went down for most of a week. When certain elements go out, sometimes things in society start to break down...

So, quite bored I started off with a MotorWorks car I'd never gotten around to working on, and grabbed a Q-Steer Buggy "Hornet".

Any guesses what I'm going for? (It's the ducks guts!)

It might have something to do with the Post-Apocolypse contest they're starting up over on Scale4x4rc. Haven't started on the buggy yet, but it might be cool too.

I like them; the internet thing sucks, but it looks like you made good use of the time. So you going for a whole fleet of tiny roving marauders for the contest?

You got it, the MadMax black on black Pursuit Special. After society broke down.

Due to the tiny wheelbase, the 4 tip exhaust just isn't gonna work, the door couldn't open. I'm thinking about just running sidepipes instead. So its more of a between MadMax2 (Roadwarrior) and MadMax3 (Thunderdome), um they rusted out and he replaced them. Since I don't have Steelies, I'm trying to decide between 5-spoke rims (shown) or 6-spoke rims.

As for a fleet, I'm doing the Pursuit Special, thinking about a spiked dunebuggy, and if I get REALLY bored maybe try to do something to a C&G.

Couple things I'm not sure about:

Single hole sidepipe without a heat shield. There's no OSHA, and Max usually rides alone, so I think he'd remember to step out past the rocker getting out of the car. OR do you think he's a girly-man and needs the heat-shield shroud on there?

Rims: 5-lug or 6-lug? I know what way I'm leaning, just want to see if I'd be out voted.

Check it out, I'm wrong. It had black painted 8-spoke rims, not Steelies. Still leaving toward the 5's.

Little more progress on the Black on Black.

I think it's about ready for paint, thinking about filling the nose to where the black is, maybe smooth in the nose to hood. i dunno, anything else I'm missing?

Can't find a dog with uppy ears like the aussie shepard, but I've got one with floppy ears like a golden retriever. close, yet far.

OK,I see two things missing; first, you need to kill the chrome on the wheels and go with flat black.And second, you need a slightly crazed Aussie shouting at the "Jew" cops and then threatening his ex girlfriend in a psychotic rage. Other than that it looks perfect.

Don't go flat black, just dirty it up with some fake sand/mud.

No, this was just "Mad Max" instead of "Certifiably Insane Max", so I don't really need him there to be going on about the jew cops. Hmm, maybe there was more to the Main Force Police breaking down than the movies let on.... Maybe those damn jew cops ruined the MFP for everybody, law and order broke down, making the next 2 movies all post-apocolyptic...

You're right I should kill the argent on the rims, but I never really cared for black rims on anything, maybe I can perk them back up with some brown or tan.

I was gonna go with the 2-tone gloss / satin, with some light tan weathering from the desert wasteland. hopefully I can fake the weathering to make it look like the car has some lines instead of just being slab-sided
