gaffers tape. you can find it at a photography supply store. other than solder and jbweld its the only material you need to keep your bit going.

i use it as a pcb cover.this tape is reusable so you can pull it off and put it back on several times. it is slightly thicker than masking tape but it is cloth like duct take.

anyhow this stuff rules.

yea I think I know the stuff your talking about, does it leave any residue when you pull it off?

depends on the surface but very little either way. its great.

its a sad day. i totally ripped through the pinion gear to the point where it wont catch on the idler which i found to have a few warped teeth as well.

i had to rip the axle out and am going to have to overhaul the ass end. time for a microsizers gear set.

when you run that much power to that little of an area you are bound to go through gears every month or so i suppose.

what motor you've been using?
and how much life do you think you got outta those gears? a month?

You know he's using that damn pink clone motor...lol

I've even busted the gears on a single cell bit..

seriously tho the pinion had a groove all around it. ill try to take a pic.
