That one is brilliant dude. Love the whole style of it. I would say keep it up, but that'd be like telling the doc how he should operate....lol

Dear Life Cereal, Where do you get off? Part of a balanced breakfast and delicious? Who do you think you are? By now you may have guessed I'm speaking ironically and have nothing but good things to say about what you do. Life cereal do not change a thing.

Thanks for the props guys, means a lot coming from you guys.

Hue & Superfly, you guys ever see Jackass: The Movie? There's the part where Steve-O is getting a smiley face tattoo in the back of a Hummer being driven by Henry Rollins, who is quite intense about romping it on some whooptie dos. I think that's the Hummer you guys are talking about.
I'll go get that group shot for you Hue, good idea.

Thanks, I'm glad you like them.
I need towork on my group shot pics, this camera is real easy to focus in really tight, but I had trouble when I backed up to get the group in the fram, and leave room to crop out. Pluse the sun drowning out the LED screen didn't help.
I remember Superfly saying something about using the manual settings to increase depth of field, I think understanding that would have really helped out.
BTW, notice the last shot is the unresized version of the second shot of the group. Gives you an idea of the shrinkage I was doing to get the pictures down to fit the forum's format.

Basically what you want to do is get the largest number possible in your aperature setting. I'm going to simplify this explanation, but I think you'll get it.crazydave wrote:Thanks, I'm glad you like them.

Aperature settings and shutter speeds are inversely related for every correct exposure. That is to say if your automatic setting tells you 1/250 sec. at f5.6, you will also get correct exposure at 1/125 sec. and f11, 1/60 sec. and f22, etc.
1/30 sec. is about the maximum shutter speed that you can effectively hand-hold. Below that you will need a tripod or something to set the camera on. The more you stop down (increase aperature number) the slower your shutter speed will need to be.
Also, if you get farther away from the subject and zoom out your lens, this will also make the range of what's in focus greater.
I've been getting my best pix lately by shooting just short of fully zoomed (telephoto), camera on tripod, stopped down as far as camera will go, use the close-up setting (with the little tulip), and use the auto-timer (so my finger pushing the button doesn't jiggle the camera).
