Damn, I missed this one yesterday, because I went to take more pictures of my car.
That is so freakin clean, Superfly, and I'm so glad you used laquer, and this is why:
When you read about laquer vs. enamel, they're usually talking about just the paint, and from what they say laquer yields superior results, but is harder to work with. I never totally understood that, because in a can laquer is all advantage, because I find the faster drying time makes it easier to work with. But now I understand that some of us, like you, are working with an airbrush, that's why you get results superior to mine, even though you're working with enamel, but I think by doing this, you've proved, to me at least, that laquer+airbrush=smooth ass finish.
I'd really like to get an airbrush, but I don't see anyone else doing what I do with rattle cans, so it's kinda become my thing, but I would like to see you work with laquer more, I'm curious what we'll see. You know you can get the automotive touch up laquer in little brush on bottles, maybe you could try some of that.
Oh and was that stuff really that much harder to clean out of your airbrush when you were done? Also laquer dry to the touch faster but takes longer to cure, you really should avoid handling that car for at least a month so you don't dull up that purty finish. I got in the habit of handling my cars by the wheels.
Anyways, nice work, and happy belated b-day.
About those Nakamichis, I've seen newer ones with different wheels. They have a different PCB, no turbo, and lights. I doubted it was a Nakamichi, but he showed me a link, so I guess there's new ones.
Here, I found the link. These are the cars going under the name Nakamichi at QVC.

Thanks again for all the props. That's why I do it (sniff).
Also just doing my part to keep bitPimps at the top when it comes to flossin.
Believe it or not, I've actually been in a small bit hiatus while getting a Mini-z groove on. I'll floss some of those sometime soon.
It's starting to rain here, so I'll be heading back down to the basement. Next up will be either a Camaro, my old-school GT40 project, or a Skyline. I'm almost out of Supra shells, so you Supra haters won't have to suffer anymore of those for a while. I also have one somewhat unique surprise up my sleeve.
Here's a picture I took before by last flurry of work. You can see the two Supras I made for hue and I, the black and blue NSX, the Jota turning into a GT40, as well as the primed Camaro and a Hummer I'll floss shortly. The Porsche isn't in that picture because I really did rip that out of the package when I got home from work and finished it the same evening.
