my epoch

Post by betty.k »

got me an epoch off ripper recently, it's been getting some use!

first impressions were a bit heavy, a bit slow. so i dropped a 4 cell in and it was much better. dunno why they didn't come as a 4 cell instead of the stock 3.
ph2t got one as well so it was inevitable that an epoch turbo would appear! meet "the bug"

it's a simple install, solder 6 wires and nothing to remove.
my only complaint is the weight. but that is largely due to the motors it's using. i'll figure something out

Well. It's been almost 12 hours. Whatcha gonna do?

Lookin' good Pimp. :-o

I've got 4 Epochs now and only one run that runs properly. Thats becasue its the only one that hasn't been driven yet.

All the others got hair stuck in the wheels. I've seen one or two posts about removing it, but its just a pain in the ass to do get done right now.

What's up with your race car Epoch? Have any special mods done to it? :???:

 well, i wanna replace the servo with a bit motor driven one and i've got a hot little gws motor that's the same size as the stock servo motor. those big slotcar motors are too heavy for the power they put out. but i'll persist with 4 cells and the stock pcb for now.

i'm constantly checking for hair in mine but i just run my micros outdoors to avoid hair! i use some fine tweezers and a hobby knife to get the hair out, takes patience but i always get it.

you mean this one, yeah? if so, there's the 4 cells, the bug turbo, i swapped out the rear spring with a yellow xmod spring and a spacer and i raised the ride height all over to about 3.5mm.

rumour has it i'll be sportin' a new mystery bod soon too
( :-o swg!)
