Am I the first?
... to floss one of these bodies from Germany, that some of us scored in a group buy?
If so, sorry, don't be hatin', had to be someone.
This was a simple one though. I don't think anyone will be too offened if I floss this to start.

I painted in the little Honda logo on the grill. Had to shave the crao out of the inside to keep the wheels from rubbing. These bodies are made from some really thick, hard plastic.

These bodies already sit really low in back, and this happened to be a tab lowered chassis. So its reeeally low. The front end of thses bodies don't have a traditional slot. Instead there is a screw mount, that pushes the body up. So I just cut the screw mount down to size with a my Dremel. On a stock chassis, you'd probably drill a hole for the screw, but since I had already trimmed back my tab, I just notched the front, and used a little screw to hold it down. Works perfectly.
Thanks for going through all the hassle for us Finks. They're great.

I like black wheels with a light colored car.betty.k wrote:lookin' good! but i think it needs some brighter rims.
i like how wide it is, should make fora great "slammed" look

Actually I tore the wheels off so I could spray pait them black.

For some reason I thought the silver Civics were one of the bodies we were shorted, but there was extra black. So I thought I was getting black, and I was gonna use some of my new chrome wheels, but since I got the silver I originally ordered, I did them black. I think its like a negative image of what I was picturing.
I'll be blingin' some of the new shoes a little later today.

I wanted to use some fatter Thunder Charger tires to fill it out, but like I said, the plastic is really thick, and I shaved and shaved for hours just to get it to work as is. I had to use Microsizer tires for their rounded edges, and the rear ones are actually little fronts stretched out over the bigger wheel... but at least it don't rub. Gotta be functional.Finks wrote: For me personally I would widen the wheel base.

So Yo Azz Hadda Be 1st Huh
Nice Work
So you noticed none of the body's fit without modification to it or the chassis
But hell, they are some slammin azz bodies and well worth anything that needs to be done to make it work
The Mini Vans were the only ones shorted.....I think

I used to slot lower the rear and fill it in so no slot shows at all in the body. Then I tab lowered the rear on a couple cars and found it to be much less work. I was tab lowering an Auto Modelista Skyline for LilMatrix and cut the tab clean off (doh!) Thought the chassis was trash but I put that billy back together, strong and low..........

Well the first 57 I did was lowered because the way the tab in the back was situated was prime for a slam! But I too want to do a raised body but like what was said above they will need longer axles these were definitely not made for the Bit Char G chassis. I did not order any Chassis from this guy but I bet they some wide ass mothers!Yeah, it does work out with the rear being so low, especially in the case of like this car, but the '57 Chevy bodies, I'm not sure what I'm gonna do. Jack 'em up, or leave 'em draggin'. I ordered extra of that body, so I'll probably do one draggin' in back and raised in front.
OH and CD nice work on lowering that body sweet work!

Yeah I got the Utility Van and it is a much larger chassis (like the UPS truck) but I noticed that richh and SGs seemed like Bit chassis size. I don't know.
What I do know is that the Orange no name ride I got is a perfect fit on a bit body. Damn, after that shit ass group buy I havn't touched my cars for months due to frustration. I need to open up the tool box tonight and start playing again.
