my friend fixes these: Image

and if he tried to use jbweld on these im sure it would start to smoke. he turned one on a few weeks ago and it started shooting flames out of it(when switches go bad they explode and metal vapor condenses everywhere making every surface conductive). ive seen em spark before but never actually shoot fire out of it.

I've seen those used for lights in Photo Studios. They are a mess when they go bad.
Sitting at my workbench in my comfortable little Hobbit hole.

ya the big ones dump 4 kilajoules in a fraction of a second. when those things go wrong serious stuff smokes and sizzles. the capacitors are huge.
