Thats exactly what I've been wanting to do, but with clear lexan.

What did you cut that from? What did you use to cut it? :???:

My first attempt was a bust, but that was attempted with an underpowered dremel. I have a better one now. I gotta try again.

I see you removed the driveshaft. Cool.

Where did you hook up with the spinners?

well, I used the graphite from an old 1/10th scale chassis. And the coolest part is that I have enough for another one. It's extremely light and strong. The knockoffs came from a GT-90 model I had laying around.

Recycle it!!!

Here's an update:

Got the lithiums today. I'm still waiting for wiring and micro connectors, but installing them is very simple. I had to shave the hell out of the body to get it to slide over the cells without pushing the sides out. Almost ruined it though....

I have a little bit of sanding left to do, but as soon as the paint shows up, she's gonna get some color....

Oh I'm not a rusher. I'm pretty patient with my mods. What scared me was when I began test fitting the body. When the sides started to push out, it was starting to crack one of the side skirt/pipes. Scared the shit outta me. I immediately grabbed the dremel and went to work shaving the inside out. Now it fits perfectly and the cells/zip ties don't even touch the sides....close call indeed. I'll drive it around with the body unless I'm racing. Then the mustang beater shell comes out to play.

I will own one someday....I don't care if I have to wait til 50 to enjoy it.
That is my dream car. Hell, every shelby is my dream ride, but the GT500 has always been my favorite.

Man I'd take most any early Mustang fastback and make it look like Eleanor. An original GT500 will cost you a mint
