Good idea on the double bearing clint, but there's another way to cut out that lateral movement, you can use a piece off a telescopic antenna that is just small enough to make a sleeve for the entire driveshaft which is snug in the bearing. Or you can even replace the shaft altogether and use 2 pieces of the antenna (sleeve + shaft). Then you'd have a hollow DS = more acceleration and, if you have propo throttle, better throttle response (in a bit??? who cares?).

Am I giving away my project :???: who cares? :-?

I really have to get started,

Added some(alot) of weight to the wheels. I want this thing to really climb.

22guage magnet wire.

It was kind of a PITA to do. I must have glued my fingers together
about 100 times. Tire fits perfectly.
Now to do the other 3. :blazin:

edit: finished the wheel weights and did a tourqey red zz motor for steering to handle the extra weighty wheels.

Twist and pull, it'll pop right off, and it snaps back on nice and tight as well, didnt even need a dab of glue. Do it enough times and it will get loose, then you will need some glue.

That is some sick articulation man. Now I have to ask tho, will you be able to get a shell on that thing and still keep these results?

Ditto, im thinking though clint if you can find a way to mount it firmly only on the front half of the chassis not using the rear you could keep the articulation.

i'm playing around with different bodies and fitment. it'll take a little imagination and some body work. nothing major. I definitly do not want
to make sacrifices as i'm really happy with the way it's climbing right now.

Thanks for the vids, dude... I knew that thing was gonna rule. I really dig how clean and simple you're keeping this truck... there's a lot going on, but all your solutions are really simple and smart. :-o

Awsome stuff man, now if you could get some shots with the body on it and throw a prop board in there it would be even better.
