Dear Life Cereal, Where do you get off? Part of a balanced breakfast and delicious? Who do you think you are? By now you may have guessed I'm speaking ironically and have nothing but good things to say about what you do. Life cereal do not change a thing.

for some reason I'm contstantly using my x-acto knife. I like to think it's because I like to live on the edge... the edge of screwing up the body and the edge of cutting my finger in two. lol
Anyways, I used an x-acto knife.
I'd probably recommend a very fine tooth hobby saw. That'd be much more controllable, give you nice clean cuts, and way less dangerous.
Of course sanding too, making sure the cut lines are nice and even and clean, that's a must or it won't go back together so great.
To get me going, I used a super tiny drop of super glue on the end of a toothpick. I touched that tooth pic to the inside of the cut lines where the two pieces will be joining. Be careful not to use too much super glue or when it dries it's going to discolor the plastic around it. After the initial glueing, I used modelers putty to create the rest of the bond and fill in any cracks or anything like that. Sand that down till it's smooth with very fine grit sand paper and you're ready for paint.

no prob, glad to help.
definetally practice on some other body first (that's why I always try to keep spare bodies around) and for crying out loud be careful!
one slip of the x-acto knife and you've got a gusher.

I had totally missed this thread, I just seen the car on the home page, and was like hey how come we never saw that, then I remembered the early stages in General Bit Discussion.
So now that I described how I got here, I'm at a loss what to say. I want come up with one of those clever shizzle dizzle off the fur hizzle type of compliments, but I'm not feeling especially clever today. So I'll just say Daaa-yuum!
If this is not your best work, I'd like to see what is!
Oh, and green is not my favorite color, but it looks good on this car. Orange is not my favorite color either.

you don't have to make it ghetto clever, the compliment is just fine - thanks man!
you guys seeing what I do in this car?
it started out as a muscle car...
after the drop top and paint, I kinda think it just looks like an old classic car. still a lot of muscle under the hood, but visually it's been tamed.
totally reminds me of what a "family" car would be back in the day.
