WORD!Bird wrote:I have a 302 powered '75 Mustang II sitting under a cover in my driveway, haven't messed with it since the summer of '96... it may not be a "real" Mustang or whatever, but the ass-whoopins it used to hand out on the boulevard sure were...
It's all about the power to weight ratio, baby
Is it a Cobra ?

Not a real Cobra, but an interesting fake...
It's a coupe... and if you know Cobras you know they only came in the fastback... so, some previous owner had put a Cobra Jet hood scoop and the Cobra front spoiler on it, had it painted the black with gold racing stripes "Hertz rent a car" scheme, and dropped the 302/C4 combo in it... I did a title search, and turns out it was originally a piss-yellow six banger with a 4-speed lol...
I've been researching the viability/cost of replacing the old carburated 302/C4 combo with a fuel injected 5.0(out of like a '91 Crown Vic) and a 5-speed... I'd also like to drop the rear end from a wrecked Explorer in it... I'm pretty sure that those have the 8.8 in. rear end... I AM sure that they have disc brakes, and that would be a nice addition...
I already have an uncut OG hood to take it back to the original look... when and if I ever get back to it I'd like it to be subtle, harmless looking... Those summers I spent driving it back in the day taught me that if you have a racy looking ride, everybody and their moms who pulls up next to you at a red light tries to act like they wanna race... even those who have absolutely no business doing so... it gets old real quick...
Sorry to take it so far off subject.... which, by the way, is AWESOME! Hiroto, I can't wait to see this finished, man... you are becoming a monster with the Squadron putty... a true sculptor.

Shelby Mustangs are some of my favorite cars....I actually like just about anything Mr. Shelby touched (Shelby Mustangs, '65 Shelby Daytona, Shelby Cobras, GT40, Ford GT, Viper, etc... Looking forward to seeing that finished. That color you chose is the best IMO. Wouldn't mind seeing a White GT500E Super Snake too (Just put the vents in the hood scoop). awwww.....what the hell. Do two of them.
BTW....the '05 Stang is the nicest since the 60's Stangs....good job Ford. Can't wait to see a Mach 1 or Shelby variation.

I gotta disagree witcha on that one Pimp! Maybe you forgot about this one but Chrysler, to me, Forged and disgraced the Carroll Shelby name by creating the Omni CS! They took a Dodge Omni Hatchback, thru some wheels, spoilers, and a CS paint scheme and called it a Carroll Shelby. IMO, That shit was a disgrace!Actually like just about anything Mr. Shelby touched

Now the new Mustangs are by far the best look'n Stangs outta Ford's stable in a long time. Doesn't ZZ have one? I thought I saw one posted a while back but haven't seen any in the stores or even on the ZZ website.
