I was also going to comment on the rubber being treaded.
whereas the others arn't.

Cabo's using WT4342 on that slick, custom RX-7.

For some reason when I read the title I was thinking of something like a monster truck with the Hulk logo on the side.

But now I see it's just the Hulk's color theme. That's cool, hint at the theme without any crass comercialism.

Those rims look reely nice on the RX-7. I've noticed that the RX-7 has bigger front wheel wells that some other bits.

Are those the 10mm rims?
...crazy man, crazy...dig it.

thanks guys, yea those be the 10 mm rims, and the tires I shaved down, they were way too big for the chassis and body so that's why they looked treaded.

Did you trim the chassis at all, or just the tires?

I'm really leaning toward the 10mm, and I don't mind cutting back the chassis. I'm just trying to figure how much work I will have to do.

lol @ hog - my next mod is stepping on my car so the wheels are angled for better traction lol

crazydave, no trimming the chassis, just the tires.
I will tell ya this though - I got 3 sets of 10mm alloys.
each set came with completely different tires, in shape, in size, and in compound. On 2 of 3 sets, I had to shave down the tires, too tall. 1 set I'm going to have to cut the width down, they're way too wide and actually hang over the alloy rim alot.
All 3 sets, I have to make sure the tire is on the rim, flush with the backside of the rim, where the rim meets the chassis. If any tire is over hanging there, you're gonna get rubbing on the chassis.

In those particular shots, I didn't trim down the front wheel wells yet, and it is needed, I can't turn with the body on, the tires hit....
but, I shouldn't need to trim much since I've taken most of it off the tire, I doubt anyone would notice the difference unless I made them aware of it.

I like the 10mm's, they look dope, but I'm guessing they're just a tad more work to fit than 9mm's or 9.5mm's - can't say for sure though as I don't own anything but 10mm's.

oh, and by the way, 1 of my sets came stock with treaded tires.

lol @ bit boy

nox - I'm loving them now.
at first I was skeptical and frustrated, but I've now found the perfect combo for me.

- alloy rims all around
- shaved down tires on front (tires that came with the alloys - just shaved)
- pullback wheels (rear) on the rear alloy rims

even all alloys with all pullback tires is an awesome combo.

the pullback tires seem like they were made for these alloys, the tires that came with the alloys have a slight bit of overhang on some sets.

how bout you?
