first off, you guys have prolly seen this already but i have some updates and i think they should be in tha flossin section. secondly, it is a complete coincidence that bilbo and i have done a t-top, let alone to the same car, with plans on entering the rcmod contest. so with that said, let me reveal to you what I've been working on the past few days.
i thought it would be really cool to do a t-top on one of my cars, and the only one i had the balld of doing anything to was my terribly-painted rx7 body(i have two, don't worry, my colour-changing rx7 is still intact lol)... so I busted out my pen and estimated what i had in mind... then i took my dremel and hacked the windows and some of the roof off. Prior to this, I measured out the space in the back window and cut a piece of plastic to fit inside and made sure there was room for the antenna.
here is what she looked like prior to the paint removal.

and after the paint was somewhat removed

after my dad removed the rest of the paint, I added my own little front bumper with plastic

and then we added side skirts

just last nite, we put on primer and today it was dry!

and now it's current stage... after masking the windows and spraying with green metal flake!!

all that's left to do is a little detailing, including some hand painted-on decals with gold(also metal flake).... then a clear coat... i'm thinking she'll be done completely by tuesday!
