My newest mod...custom Skyline.

I wasn't completely satisfied with my first paint job I did on the Evo, so I started over and customized a Skyline. This time I didn't paint the trim black, but left it the body color as I did for the spoiler. I also modded an existing spoiler to give it a more sleek look than the original and to go with the wedge look of the car. Tab lowered the front. Installed the Nakamichi wheels. Installed custom exaust pipes. Also switched out the antenna. Still need to do some speed mods.

Yeah, I took some small aluminum tubibg I got from the LHS and squeezed it to get the semi flat look. I though it would look better on this car than regular round exhaust.

Thanks pimps! I used Tamiya masking tape this time, much cleaner edges. Also didn't let the clear coat bleed thru on the windows.

just wondering, but how come you don't just clearcoat the windows as well?

Because the junk body I first practiced on.....I did clear coat the windows, and it looked bumpy. I did use the thin coats too.

Looks good, and that wing looks so much better that way. Nice exhaust too.
I clear coat my windows, I just lay a heavy coat to level everything out after I lay a few light coats. also I've notice if you paint when it's cooler out the paint dries slower, and levels a little better.

Great Lookin Line Ahh5hit. The Nak wheels seem to set off any silver paint job. I always clear coat my windows too, never had a problem.
