FD rollin on dubs

I started this one the other day. So far she's sittin pretty on some chrome Dub City rims. I also lowered the nose about 2mm. This isn't the body that will be on the finished car. That be a suprise!

They're from a Jada toy's Dub City 1/64 car. You can find them at Toy's R Us. The cars come with 2 sets of chromies. They are fairly easy to adapt to the bit.

I don't know if it was easier. I still had to drill the fronts, make a spacer for the one side on the back, and all that stuff that you have to do when you do wheel mods. I just went the extra step, and added a more of a lip to the inside edge of the rim, to help hold the tire on. Also since I posted that, I started super gluing a piece of solid core wire down the centerline, to raise the tires up in the center, and that also keeps them slipping from side to side.
Here's a pic with the back axle and tire off, so you can get a better idea of what I'm talking about.
Dem dubs look pretty slick on that car, BTW. I haven't seen those Dub City rims, I'll have to look for them.
The RX-7 takes to dubs nicely, 'cause it's one of the bodies that the front wheel well is actually as large as the back.

either way, the Dub City wheels will work. It's looks like more fun the way you did it.

The way I did it was to use the entire wheel and just replace the stock. I also had to cut a spacer out of a stock wheel to keep the rim from touching the chassis on the non gear side. As for tires, I had to shave the inside of the stock ones till they were flat and then superglue them onto the Dubs.
I still like your way better. Wish I had thought of it.

I modify the wheels to fit ZZ hubs, I use Bit tyres and everything works perfectly.
