I did a painting job on a ZipZap Porsche, but it didn't turn out good.

If you wanna post something here then post it here, but cut out the "hey look what I posted at tinyrc" bullshit. You've been less of a twat lately, don't screw it up with this kind of pointless crap.

WOAH!!! Back off man, just trying to show off my rides for once! Geeze...why are you so angry anyways?

The reason I link to TinyRC is because I don't have my own image hosting area....I guess I'll get one just for you then. :-)

Problem is, I can't find any decent image hosting sites.....anyone know where to find any?

I couldn't remote link, cuz the famous x-in-the-box pics showed up. :(

not bad son_gokou, we all started somewhere....

keep going, you'll only get better.

and you have been acting like less of a "twat" (you crack me up hue) lately, that's commendable...
I almost cried the other day when I read what I consider to be one of your best posts ever:

Yep, we all do start somewhere. I didn't learn how to use a spray can until I was in my mid 20s.

Looks like you're having the same problem that most people have at first, holding the spray can too close to trying to get solid coverage in 1 or 2 coats.

Make sure your holding your can at least 10 inches away. Make a smooth even stroke, starting before and after the car, laying a fine mist. It should just be getting full coverage by the 3rd coat. Many paints are not opaque, which causes people to lay them too thick. So it's best to base coat with a a light color like white. Silver and gold also make good colors to base coat with, because their high metal content makes the fairly opaque, and they bring out metallic colors.

Quick dumb question. Do you guys Prime every time, or only clear boddies? Bought some Pearl white that I will be laying onto the Mazda RX7 2F2F not in the movie Zip. The guy at my LHS said it would be cool, but I would take your advice any day over others.

always prime - it'll give you a nice blank canvas to work on...
colors will come out like they're supposed to and not mysteriously change hue's (not hue35's lol)

I put a "www." in front of geocities, and it worked once, then it stopped.

Nope, didn't work, I think I'll try Stoli's service.

On Bit (Microsizer) and Zip bodies there's no need for primer with the automotive laquers I use. So I try to avoid primer, because it lays on lot thicker than the laquer.

On opaque and even some transparent clone bodies and Xmod bodies, I've had to sand thoroughly, and use primer to get the paint to level good.

Pearl White and all pearl and candy colors are semi-transparent. You'll definately want to base coat with white to get pearl white, or silver for a metallic white.

Thanks CD & CW I figured as much w/ white especially because the stock color has that crap design on it. Like I said quick and dumb question. Hehe, this post is sooo derailed in multiple directions.
