mean-spirited work in progress...
I've just finished this chassis/body fit, so this car is now in line for paint and custom drag-oriented decals... since I'm a slacker, that could take a while. So, I decided to show this one in progress...
- ZZ chassis (tab lowered and cut to hell, to make room for the fat tires)
- dual cells
- FET-modded Thunder Charger PCB
- Tall-walled Motorworks rear tires
- ZZ '67 Camaro body with a lot of shaving
I'm not sure what I'm gonna do about wheels, but I might just paint these ones. I'm also going to have a little bit of a Muscle Machines blower peeking out of the hood along with the side pipes.

Dear Life Cereal, Where do you get off? Part of a balanced breakfast and delicious? Who do you think you are? By now you may have guessed I'm speaking ironically and have nothing but good things to say about what you do. Life cereal do not change a thing.

Oh yeah... I forgot about this thread. I do have a coupla more pics I'll put up. It's comin' along slow, this one. I got a big motor (muscle machines) stickin' up outta the hood now and I'm not sure I dig it. But, I decided I'll just run with it anyway... I'm in the process of making custom decals for it, so it looks mean at the dragstrip.crazydave wrote:Hey what up hue? You can't call it a work in progress and not give us any updates.

You always take your time, that's why your shit's so clean.hue35 wrote:Oh yeah... I forgot about this thread. I do have a coupla more pics I'll put up. It's comin' along slow, this one.

Try a motor from a Johnny Lightening car. They're more scale. That's what used in my Chevelle.I got a big motor (muscle machines) stickin' up outta the hood now and I'm not sure I dig it. Ok, I'll wait while you perfect it.

Too late, I've already cut the livin' shit outta the hood. I think I'm gonna jus keep on goin' with this one and build another that has more of the Pro Street look this one started with in the pics above.crazydave wrote:Try a motor from a Johnny Lightening car. I've been busy with a contest entry, so this one
suffers. Anyway, here's the progress...
I cut a hole in the hood (shoudn't have, but I did)
for the BIG motor. The idea was to build a muscle
machines car that drives like it looks.

Here's the motor sitting on the chassis. I'm
planning on making a post on the top of the
steering box (I'm using springs and I removed
all that sway bar shit) and then drilling a hole
in the motor... I figured geting the body off
and on will be easier this way since I have no
clearance to fit any kind of mounting system
for the motor on the body... blah blah blah.

I'm probably gonna fill all the body lines and
paint it like a funny car with a lot of custom
decals... then I'm gonna build another one like
it was at the top of this thread, 'cuz that was
a paint job away from badass.
will be continued...

That's cool, but it needs some other exagerated features too offset that big motor.
Some big exhaust, and a big spoiler to tie in the funny car look would definately be cool.
Maybe you could make it a drop top, so you could have your homie sittin' in there with a big 8 -ball stick shifter sticking out.

That'd be pretty damn funny.crazydave wrote:Maybe you could make it a drop top, so you could have your homie sittin' in there with a big 8 -ball stick shifter sticking out.
I'm definitely putting some pipes on the side. I'm working on some pretty busy graphics for the sides that should also help make the circus more complete.
