You know, I'm still not happy with it. I laid the paint on too thick. When I took pics with the flash, it showed "Every" imperfection and there are a ton of 'em. Now I had to wait a whole week for the sun to shine here to use natural lighting to get good pics that won't show as many imperfections as with the flash. I will be redoing another one starting from scratch soon. Did you get my email?

Dear Life Cereal, Where do you get off? Part of a balanced breakfast and delicious? Who do you think you are? By now you may have guessed I'm speaking ironically and have nothing but good things to say about what you do. Life cereal do not change a thing.

I hear ya, I'm still trying to get steady enough to not take out little knicks of paint when I'm x-acto-ing.
You using liquid mask?
so far it seems to be working perfect for rounded areas and raise or lowered areas and tight crevises, but for straight lines, like the racing stripes on my S-2000 Metallic Red Racer, tape was a better choice for me.
and yea, the lighting, geesh - these cars look so much better in person, the camera's catch everything and magnify it by a 1000!

I'm using "Master Mask" by Hobbico.

Stuff is great, it dries pretty quick and comes off very easily.
When it's dried, it's like rubber. It leaves "thinner" lines than tape usually.
You should be able to find it at your LHS, for some reason, every shop I go in to, it's always hidden and they never have more than a few jars of it.
go figure.

It's called Master Mask Liquid Masking Film, and it's by Hobbico.. You can paint it on, or apply it with a airbrush, and then cut it with a X-acto blade..
Works good.
I can send you a pic of what it looks like.

you can go airbrush.
and it is "gloopy" in its original form, so it'll spurt out like you were a ghostbuster and squirting ecto-plasmic crap.
