I didn't like how the first round came out so I did a reshoot, including a shit bunch more cars.

I'm pretty happy with this set of shots. Check em out and enjoy!

Agreed...

I'm diggin' how you used a black background....looks good. I might have to try that. I usually use white and it seems to make the white balance on my camera wig out. The black looks real good.

Thanks guys, glad you like the pics!

Don't mine Hog sdog, he's still on his 'high' from posting 'puddin' eater pics in the Christian area of wegotu.

The GTOs are baddass man, the only thing I might agree with you on is those stripes.

sdog,
I got the idea for the black base from a guy named Tim Brisko. He takes some PHENOMINAL shots of Japanese figures, check some of his shit out here:

Yeah you know I'm wondering there's something to that. I used have a this glassy black piece of paper that I used. Ever since I lost that piece of paper my pictures haven't been the same, I mean they were always kinda fuzzy and crappy, but now I'm using a white back ground, and that the problem I'm having, the white balance all thrown off. I've been playing with my lighting, only to get more frustrated.

Yeah....I've been using some adjustment's in photoshop to fix the white balance problem. It usually works OK. I'm wondering if you can point your cam at something that isn't so white....lock in the white balance setting, then point it at the subject. :???:

I really should read my owners manual to figure out how to make these adjustments correctly....where the hell is Hue?

Hog, digicams have come down a lot in price lately dude. Spend a buck cheapo and get one. 2 megs is all you really need for 4 X 6 prints and its more than enough for web shit. I'd recommnd three if you can swing it becuase it gives you more fudge room for cropping, etc. My cam has 4 megs and its been more than enough for me so far. I'd really like to see your rides in higher resolution with good lighting.

What camera do you guys have? I'm using a Canon 10D so I can do and set anything I want.

But I chose to use the black for effect, not because of white balance issues.

Yeah you know Sdog, we have the same story, I just started using Photoshop to fix the white balance, and I really should read my camera's manual.

I've got a Olympus D-390, it's better than my last, but still kind of a cheapie, and I just haven't been quite happy with the pics.

...but my wife is scoring us a new camera, a Nikon Coolpix 4300, we'll have that soon. I'm scared that things gonna show guys all my imperfections.

(Hey hog I might have a deal on a used camera for ya real soon. :-) )

oooh, Dave, you're gonna like that camera. Nikon is the shit for built-in macro ability, and it also has a white balance thing where you can just point it at a piece of white paper under whatever light you're using and it sets it for ya. I can't wait to see your pix with that.

I don't have anything close as nice to the Cannon 10D. I'm not sure I would not make full use of that cameras abilities at this point. I'd like to learn more about the manual functions of the camera, but haven't had time.

I gots me one of these sony DSC-S85's and have had it for some time:

Its got a decent amount of manual settings...I just don't know how to use them all correctly.
