I’m now using a ZZ green motor for the servo, but still have hopes of finding something with more torque. My first potentiometer was from a Futaba servo but the newest one is indeed from an Xmod servo. I tried the motor from the Xmod servo too but it had no power at all.

Just a thought to save for latter; I wonder if I should try replacing and Xmod servo motor with the green ZZ motor.

The trick is getting everything lined up, no room for error, so that the gears mesh with absolutely no binding or drag, otherwise the servo motor doesn’t have enough power to turn the wheels.

It’s also a blast to reverse the trim switches on the controller and put the body on backwards for rear wheel steering.

I’m now gutting the controller and turning it into a lithium-poly charger, and rewiring the ZZM for show while I’m at it.

The lights are next, not sure what I want to do yet, but I do know that that fake light bar on top irritates me every time I look at it.

Wow....can't wait to see vid of that thing running.

I am seriously considering taking a look at the Xmod PCB see if I can stuff that in there, since I don't have any Iwavers.

Won't fit the Xmod board is mondo humongous. Even the Epoch board it too big.

I just saw the photo’s of luckyyy’s ZZMT I wish I’d seen them before I started his should work sooooo much better than this. I solved the steering power problem by adding resistors to the sensor pot but the only way I can increase the range is to mess with the circuit board. But seeing luckyyy’s gave me a different idea altogether so I’m frantically looking for a spare Hi-Tec HS-55 servo I know I have around here somewhere. The power a Mini-Z or Iwaver CB and LiPo cells gives one of these is unreal if you take electricians tape and cut it into ¼” strips then put them around the front tires sticky side out you can actually climb up a wall.

Ah, then I should say I saw it in a post by luckyyy, but did not see any other name associated with it.

Either way it should give more and smoother steering range than my version, I am trying it now to find out. Reading the post I saw ph2t asked if they tried stacking the FETs and was told that it was not necessary, I have to disagree there by stacking the FETs I got a noticeable improvement. By using the sub micro servo I will have to change my battery choice the new cell (one this time) will be a Kokam 145.

Oh yea, before I tore the pore thing apart again last night I hooked up the batteries in series for 7.4 volts 80 mAh, it was insane un-drivable but absolutely insane.
