CarToons Influenced Camaro (revisited)

I had originally done this as a quickie, here:

I had since carved up the Thunder Charger chassis to cram a 2.4v SE battery in it, which combined with a Perfection 3.8, MOSFETS, Zip Zap red gears and 7tooth pinion, make for a pretty darn fast car.
So once I started paying more attention to it, I decided it was not very "CarToons-y". So I added the big motor from a Johny Lightening car. Carved out the velocity stacks to make them more 3d, and detail painted it. The side pipes are from a Hot Wheels car, and they have been carved, shaved and sanded to get them to look like they were meant for a bit.
I had another plan for the paint job, but when I went to pick up some yellow, this sparkly Metal Flake Blue caught my eye, and I was mesmerized, "Ooooo, sparkly"
So here it is:

Can't you just see that on the cover of CarToons?
What?! Who's smart ass in the back who said no? well her ya go smart ass.

I found a magazine on ebay and used that as inspiration for my hand drawn background.
Here's a better shot of the motor.

And one more of the chassis
