THE ULTIMATE OFFROAD BIT

This mod was based off Betty K pivoting rear end mod and my own monster truck mod. I also added a swiveling rear end just like my ZZMT hummer. There was a lot of soldering that went into this mod to hold the chassis together, as you can see from the pictures. The body had to be chopped apart in the back to accommodate the mod. I added some louvers and a different rear spoiler to cover the missing end. Then I added some black paint with some orange flames and finished it of with some fine detailing (gas cap, door handle, grill, and side markers).

I love the extra down gearing in the rear. great work there bio. are the tyres rubber or semi plastic/rubber? they look kinda hard.

what you can also do is use lego tyres and cut the chevrons into them to get the ofroad swamper effect. that's what betty did anyways...

cheers,

ph2t.

Alright, alright, give me a break, I haven't had time!

Seriously, we all have ideas, the hard part is the implementation, and you implemented the hell out of that! Nice work!

I like how you raised the suspension, That's something I had planned, but couldn't figure out how I was gonna pull it off.

I dig those wheels and tires too. Where'd ya find those at?

... but I gotta say it, that kick ass chassis needs a rock crawler body. You gotta have a Jeep or somethin' in your bag of tricks over there.

I am going to try to make up a cd of the mods I have done so far. Most of my mods average around 20-30 pictures. Lots of pictures, but nothing explaining the mod. I just need to set aside some time to type it up. Also I want to include some videos on this cd. Another possibility is having a web page that I could post mods pictures etc. like Betty K site.

Another possibility is writing up a good tutorial with pictures and having it archived in the "Articles" section here. I'm sure Cabo will give it the space it needs if you put it together.
