Jeep Liberty SSMT

I took a Jeep Liberty body from the New Bright 4XFours motorized cars and added some styrene and velcro to the inside. A little bit of cleaning up, some detailing and it's good. The base coat is a little rough in spots, I may repaint it but for now, it adds character.

I bought a couple of those New Bright trucks for the bodies. I have a Dodge Pick-up in the shop now.
They're sweet bodies. I was thinkin' of puttin' one on an Epoch or SS.

Even though it's been said that SS trucks are "goofy", I still like what you've done here. Giving it a
real body. Nice work Chrome........

Thanks. It's about as low as it can go on the chassis. It doesn't look near as goofy now. The picture doesn't quite do it justice. It looks better in person. I'm going to try and pick up some more bodies sometime this week.

Maybe it's the camera angle, but even after adding that awsome shell, it still looks like it's on pogo sticks. I love my ZZMTs, this is a hard sell for me, and as of yet I aint biting.

The angle is part of it, but don't get me wrong, it does have a large ride height. With my el cheapo digi, I had to set it on the floor to allow it to take a decent picture. I'm thinking on how I can get it to be a little lower.

I think that might be easy to do. Just cut the springs.
You would obviously lose a bit of travel, but it will be lower.
What ya think?

That is the obvious answer, but it's also permanant. Ideally, I'd like to stretch it out like you see in the 1:10 rock crawling world. I'm considering getting a pair of Overland low down shocks and seeing if I can adapt them. I'm pretty sure that would work. It would give me decent height with a MUCH lower look.

Taller tires!
That body looks really cool, some bigger tires would really help out.

Agreed there! The mounting system is going to make that difficult though. I'm looking to see if there is anyway to get lugnuts on here.

I like what you've done. Nice body. I agree about the tires. If you found some bigger tires, then that would be a mad mad monster truck.
