team bitpimps racing honda nsx
the gt40 body was a little narrow for my liking on my track xmod and i've been eyeing off the honda nsx for a while. finally got a kyosho unpainted one and it's a perfect match for the long wheelbase and reversed wheels.

i had to cut out the bonnet a bit for the suspension and mount the chassis clip nice and solid with some screws.

a little fairy sent me some cool decals a while back and that gave me an idea for a bp racing body. i wanted to match the colours of the bp's decals so that left me with the problem of how to mask. i figured it's a bp sled so it was time to try one o them thar flame jobs i'm always seeing.
there's a few bits where the mask lifted a little at the edges making for a not so crisp edge but no one's gunna notice when it's hammering around the track!
in the end i only used one of the original decals on the wing but it was a seed that grew some groovy fruits!

i'm really happy with how this body sits, can't wait to start breaking it!

Damn
She's purdy.
I noticed that thing the other day when you posted this:

I was saying to myself, "where the...? when did...? did I miss...?"
That's awesome dude, at least put it on display for a few hours before you start shredding it. lol
Excellent freakin job, it's beautiful.

Dear Life Cereal, Where do you get off? Part of a balanced breakfast and delicious? Who do you think you are? By now you may have guessed I'm speaking ironically and have nothing but good things to say about what you do. Life cereal do not change a thing.

Yeah, SuperFly and I were talkin' about the beatifully painted NSXmod in the background, as well as a few other things about that pic... that looks a lot like SuperFly's workspace. Great fuckin' picture.CaboWabo wrote:Damn![]()

but i'm not 100% on the wheelbase and track dimensions of it. it looks like it's for a medium wheelbase with wide offset rims, can anyone confirm this? (i know someone got one a while back, finks? bird?)
there's only 2 forums i call home and i'm damn proud to be a member at both. and i wanna represent them in the scene cos so far they're the only 2 forums with a healthy dose of balls out rock 'n roll.
bitpimps and ausmicro are the reason i can say "yeah bitch, i'm an rc playa" without feeling like a sad spotty nerdy loser

hardcore is a lifestyle
EDIT:
shoulda thunk of this sooner, matching rims

Hmm, i tried one of these a while back, and my front shocks hit the hood? Is that not happening with yours? But besides that, that motha' is the shit dude. I cant belive at how beat-to-hell itll be in a few days, but look at it right now! Its beautiful, perfect color choices, and on the wheels. Reverse them.. Orange in the rear, black in the front, it would look even better! IMO of course.

That'lld be me... as for the size, it's the same wheelbase and track width as the Porsche GT3, but it's really super narrow in the center... the door/rocker panel area is a really snug fit on an 01, and the time I tried it on my 02, I thought it might break... I thought about trying it on an xmod, but decided not to pop the clips off... So I just leave well enough alone and leave it on my IW01...
Oh, and I noticed the NSX in that pic from a few days ago but didn't say anything because I figured this thread was immenent...
So now that there is a thread.... damn, dude! That is a straight up menacing looking ride! Now it's kick ass visually and on the track...
EDIT... I also noticeed the sculpt job you got going on on the Micro Speed pickup shell... can't wait to see where that goes... the one I was doing has been shelved in favor of something off the wall, hopefully soon to be completed...
