Brush painted EVO

Awhile back DT and I made a small transaction with each other and I was a new owner of a MS speed set with a clear EVO body. Well I decided to finally do something with it. I used nothing but testors water based brush paint for the entire shell. I used the chassis I built awhile back that has 3 1/4 AAAs and a hardwired white endbell motor. Modded the wheels off of a muscle machine SSTuner and some offroad tires. I know it is still missing something and I am open for suggestions.

As long as it's got the wing though, run with it... I think it needs somethin like decals or a rally stripe, or both. The thing that's missing is something else bright, to set the wheels off... they're just hangin' out there, on 11, all by themselves.

One of the nicest hand-painted jobs I've seen, though.

Oh, and as long as you're hand painting, go back in with some of that blue on a small brush and touch up around those headlights... and a little silver along the bottom.

Yeah it's a real nice hand job.

Why the fuck did I buy sam adams?

Anyway sat4life I agree with hue on the offsetting the wheels some how. I'ld say a nice couple of silver stripes and a chop to that wing and you're good to go. :-)

Thanks pimps for the input. The wing is too big so I cut it down a little more.

The wheels are a little bright, so tell me what you think of these?

The silver paint sux and is to watered down. I will touch it up the best I can though. The headlights didn't look as bad from just looking at it, but with the camera close-up it does look a like fucked. Maybe a silver rally strip will look good.

Those rims fit better. Keep em and put on some decals or not even and skip the stripe. :-)

I honest ly wish I had a answer for you, I didn't think it would turn out as well as i did. The body was clear and I didn't use any primer. I put on a semi thick coat of blue on the outside and a coat of flat black on the inside. It made the blue look a little darker. I too am amazed at how well it turned out. If I had to say It was beginners luck (first time).

I think the black wheels and the window sticker did a lot of good... I might leave it like that.

Way better. :-o ©crazydave

That's your first time hand brushed? Beginners luck?
It looks great, and gives me some enthusiasm to paint my first body.

Great job Pimp! That paint job is smuth............

Wheels & Tyres look good, Rally Effect, so to complete the look, give 'er
a few strategically placed decals (not too many) to finish the look :-o

Thanks again pimps for the ideas. I put a few decals on and added silver around the bottom. Had to take her outside for some action shots.
