I picked up a couple of these Hot Wheels cars at TRU a couple of weeks ago, they were in the 30% pile.
I used the wheels from one so far, on this ride....
They were VERY easy to install. They already had a hole in them.
I'm currently working on lowering the front end.

Just a little sticky.
The fronts could be a little stickier, but the back should be fine with a little wear to scuff them up a little.

Yea, those do look badass.
Good to hear they got some grip too, I've always thought most of those wheels were straight up slick-ass plastic.

That looks like it came from one of those 100% Hot wheels sets and they have what they call Real Riders on them those have some tread and are rubber not slick plastic. (Unless I am wrong on this one I have been known to be wrong on occasion)!

There are treads on the front and rears are slicks, but the rears do have a little grip to them. The front sorta suck.
I think someone suggested using WD-40 to soften them up a little somewhere.

i've seen this done on 1:10 tourers. you generally apply it 15 - 20 mins before a race. it will kill your tyres quicker but they're much tackier after a freash application.

How many miles can I really need on a ZZ?

I think the WD-40 starts dissolving them, so it's a matter of time, not miles.
