Well I entered this VW in the end of the year blowout thanks to Jmays for the sweet body! It’s a chopped top VW Truck
Hey Buddha likes it! I got this Homie out of a 1/64 car set and I like the scale of him better then the larger scale Homie’s I thing they fit better with the scale.
Oh the rear lights are actually the ends of side pipes I cut off then painted the centers red. The side pipes came from a muscle machine hot rod.

UNIQUE !
Another Great Mod Pimp !
I like the aluminum/chrome tape you used on the bumpers. How is that to work with?
I had thought about getting some but never did. Looks real good Pimp

Exactly what I was thinkin'... nice work, SWG.
Also, like Cabo said in the contest thread, the "Vans" feel is real cool...

To tell the truth the chrome tape is Hell to work with on something that small!

I have used it on models and it works real good with flat surfaces the best but the fenders were curved so its like trying to cover a basketball with paper and it come out smooth. I actually removed the first attempt and this is the second.
The flash on the camera shows every line and imperfection in the tape.
I used model material called Bare-Metal Ultra Bright chrome it is actually metal tape that is extreamly thin.
Thanks for the nice comments guys!

Good job as always SWG. The imperfections on the chrome look like regular rust that's been painted over on a real car. Especially with the beach look, it fits right in (salt air and what-not).

Damn that ride looks mean! They have that chrome tape at my LHS, and a CF type, might pick some up!

I used some Bare-Metal stuff way back when to try to "mirror tint" this ride. I found it was kinda hard to make look good on such a small scale, it's basically like tape, with foil on one side. They've been using on your typical car models for a long time.
