VW'in

Post by steelwoolghandi »

Thanks to SG I have a great overland well I decided to do something with it and I built a VW Baja body just for it. The body is a VW body from AMT’s Bee model kit (the kit had a funky front end so I cut the front end off another VW kit and Bondo’ed it on.

I then had to Bondo the Top because it had a cast folding roof so lots of sanding and shaping to get the roof right.

Ok I love this blue (as if you couldn’t tell) after several coats of paint I added some decals I had (from a Integra kit) then added the bars. I still have a little more detail work to do but its getting there.

That is absolutely killer!!!

I love what you did with that Baja. The front end looks a little exposed, how about a tube bumper up there too? That is so cool.

I agree. It does look bare and exposed. A bumper would do it good. :-o

That is a nice OL. Glad to see it getting some TLC. 8-)

That's the front end off another beetle and it's bondo'd on? I can't even tell that has been done... Damn SWG get a freaking life! You pump out like ..I dunno... 5-10 Sweet ass rides in about a month... LOL. You need that tuber in the front like a lot of people suggested and.. my last word. WOW. :-o
