PUBE JOOLZ Starlet project
Heya pimps!
I recently bought a Choro Q Toyota Starlet and very much like the front part with those big headlights.
Somehow it posted a big challenge to me to cram my bit chassis into that tiny casting.
Well, here's the initial salvo. Thanks for viewing.
"i'm small and i like smaller cars"

Dissected into two. Wheel wells being adjusted to fit bigger wheels.

Created a slot under the bumper on the front.

Daydreamin' the whole idea...

Admiring the rear.

You also have a sneek preview of what my garage contains.

We here in barbados LOVE the '84 Starlet. The make for very popular and cheapracing cars. This is a pic of a more modified version. Not really a Starlet anymore
Click for a larger view. This was taken Saturday at Qualifying for an international meet the following day. It was Great.

Good luck on that starlet. I'm loving that WRC impreza in the background. Is it Hitari?
Don't touch it orI'm booking a flight for your ass

Thanks man!
I managed to cram the chassis in but it is very tight. My other option is to carve out some of the layers inside, readjust the front slot further to lower the body.
I am thinking of a drifter type with lots of sponsor decals.
The Impreza in the background is a NewRay cast. It is part of my diecast collections and very much new. Originally planned to wreck havoc on the wheels alone but since you love it then i'll never touch it with my x-acto or a drill.
Will post more updates and pics.

Man... PJ, this is gonna be so cool, I'm confident in your ability to do the stretch, I'm just hoping you stick with that green, that would be kick ass.
I'm with Maxxa on the curiosity about the Subie... only ones I can think of that nice in that scale are the Hitari and the X-Trek Pro...

EDIT... D'oh! Just submitted and saw your post about it being a diecast... STILL a very nice piece...

Sweet Project man Like the looks of the progress and looking forward to the finished work. I have a thing for work in progress pics just cant wait for the next one.
Oh and the Hot Wheels Scion body I modded that one some time back had a hel of a time getting things to fit in the back lots of room in the front and I had to extend the chassis.

My plan is to put a mock engine on top of the steering area.
Print decals of door interior and stick it on the inside part so the effect is that of an x-ray view.
I want to maximize the translucent qualities of the body so less paint more decals.
Will post more WIP photos of the Starlet soon.
