DT's at it again.........

Use this gallery to show off your own garage of sleds - everything 1:32 and smaller - no matter if they be bangin, slangin, or just barely hangin.

DT's at it again.........

Post by DarkTari »

Yo Pimps !

Been a while since I've done ANY modding, so now I have taken on a personal
project. I've been active in my local Scion clubs, we have meets, car shows,
events, etc. I thought about this last year and of course sat on my duff all winter.
Now that Spring is here and we've had our first event, time to get this shit off da ground.
My idea is to mod 4-bB's and track to take to some of these events and race with the guys.
Now I'm not putting a lot into these, basic setup with 1.0 - 1.6 motors so they can have fun
without keep having to handle the cars. Stock wheels, probably lowered and kits,
all with custom paint jobs. So here we are at the beginning of this project:
Image

I will leave them open backs so I don't spend too much time on 'em. Color
Schemes are going to be a special xB Release Series from 04 - 06:

Release Series 1.0 for 2004 is called Hot Lava !
Image
This is the color I wanted when I bought mine and found out it was
what is called Release Series 1.0 which was limited to 2000 and only
for 2004.

Release Series 2.0 for 2005 is called Solar Yellow:
Image

Release Series 3.0 for 2006 is called Envy Green:

And Release Series 4.0 for 2006.5 is called Torched Penny:

As you can see this is a color changing paint....

So now you know my paint schemes (I don't usually give this much info, but this
is not a contest either...LOL). I will check with one of our dealer sponsors to see
if I can get a spray can of each. (probably not the Scorched Penny).. I will update
the post as I go along.....

Here are a few that have been "Pimped" out..........

Glad to see you're at it again DT! Can't wait for the paint.

Really cool idea with the track and racing. When I had a few more crawlers together I was wishing they had more channels.
The devil made me do it the first time, the second time I done it on my own...

One question, though. Why not the Scorched Penny? I know it may cost a bit more than normal paints, but I would love a can of it.

Damn ! Long time !!
I was gonna try to get the dealership to donate the paints for my project.
I know I prolly won't get the Torched Penny cause it's a kit rather than just a can of paint and a lot more expensive....
