Live Earth Concert
Is anyone watching or will you be watching any of the Live Earth concert?
It is avalible online, full coverage on MSN.
I'm interested in seeing different artist. Ones that I normally wouldn't even think about watching.
Its best wacthed from your IE browser. I tried with Firefox, but I couldn't figure out which settings to change.
Right now I'm watching (and listening, I'm flippin' back and forth between IE and Firefox) to Missy Higgins, LIVE from Australia.
Check it out if you have a chance!! Tons of great artists.
The one thing I really like about this world concert, is that NO ONE is asking for money!! Just change some of your habits and make things better.
Link to the schedule and line-up.

Man, when you think about all the jets the stars use , and the thousands of limos (worldwide) bringing celebs and rich people, and all the garbage and delievery trucks to move trash and stage equiptment, then all of the people driing to and from the concerts...Not to mention all the metahne gass all the vegitarians will be farting out after their veggie burgers...THIS HAS TO BE THE BIGGEST SINGLE CARBON EMMISION FOR ANY ONE EVENT IN HISTORY!!
Oh well, at least we can feel good thinking we have done something. I cant even begin to imagine how much smoke will roll into the air from al the organicaly grown pot

Hehe.. A little fact on how the concert supposedly 'helps' the Earth...
Source: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/f ... ge_id=1879
... I agree it was a good idea, but i don't think it got thought through very well...
The total carbon footprint of the event, taking into account the artists' and spectators' travel to the concert, and the energy consumption on the day, is likely to be at least 31,500 tonnes of carbon emissions, according to John Buckley of Carbonfootprint.com, who specialises in such calculations.
Throw in the television audience and it comes to a staggering 74,500 tonnes. In comparison, the average Briton produces ten tonnes in a year.
The concert will also generate some 1,025 tonnes of waste at the concert stadiums - much of which will go directly into landfill sites.

Live Earth may have been the largest global entertainment event in history, as its organizers claim, but back on planet America it couldn't even beat ABC repeats of the kids' animated movie "Monsters, Inc." and "America's Funniest Home Videos" in the Nielsen ratings. --Chicago tribune July 30, 2007
Maybe if Gore hadn't lied so much in his movie...Opps, I forgot, I'll go write "I will not question man-made global warming, regaurdless of facts..." one hundred times. please don't flog me.
