As you all know (and don't know) KB Toys is all but totally closed. Back in Da Day you could find some pretty nice deals, escpecially online ! Well it's in the air that they will close Chapt7 in the coming year. They have announced a "Shopping Partner"... Hobby.com. Check'em out.....

This is interesting.

"This is a Build Your Own Radio Control Race Car from Elenco®. Suitable for Ages 10 & Older. FEATURES: The idea behind this kit is to expand your understanding of basic transmitters, receivers and electronic switching theories. As you build the vehicle from the ground up, you will learn all about gears, motors, printed circuit boards & integrated circuits. Durable plastic buggy-type car body. Full-function, single channel transmitter navigates the car forward, backward, left and right. Light bulb illuminates when car is in motion. Pre-assembled circuit board so no soldering needed."

I'd like to get that for my kid. :???:

Cool buggy, but if your kid has been paying attention to dad at ALL, he probably wouldn't dig it. Not enough "cool" factor.

You could probably find him a vintage Grass Hopper/Frog/Hot Shot/Hornet for him to build. Tamiya did a re release a few years back and they ain't that pricey. They were fun kits.
