There will be a way to fit the controller electronics into a standard trigger/wheel controller. Not a job for me, but it should be relatively straight forward. Ken used standard controller set-ups during development, but switched to the one handed design for "funk" value.

There is talk of a more conventional controller as an additional purchase.

I've emailed them about it a couple of times, most recently on March 21st.
Heres the reply:
Thanks for your continued interest in our Metl-Tech Racers, the name we've
chosen for the product release.

Yes, we have just started production and have some cars coming off the line.
It has been a slow and difficult process due to the miniaturization of all
the parts. But it is done and we're happy with the result. The cars run very
well. The process is just a little slower than we anticipated. We are now
able to ship the cars with the BMW M3 in white. Two more body colors will be
available in a couple of weeks and next month we should have two more body
styles available.

We are just starting to set up our distribution channels. You might try
www.microracers24.com

If you can't find them yet, we can also accept orders in the early stages.

kind regards,
Ken Scott

The guy that runs the site is Sven - the main fixer for bitracer.de and a top moder. He scored all the metl techs for the germans direct from Ken at XXAP. You can be sure that sven hangs out here :cowboy:

If you havent already seen it, he is offering a really neat micro timing system. Passive coil on car (no power required) and an under track receiver. Bit home built (by the guys at bitracer) but can track upto 6 cars at once.

cant seem to link to the page directly. It is hidden in "micro parts". Do a search for MZ22 to go straight there. If you look at the bottom there is another link (click here for more information) and you get to see a dome clone with the coil on the roof.

Cheers
