How many, or what voltage is (are) the battery(ies)?
I got this from the site. Batts are 2 x 1.2v, but I'm unsure of as to what type they are, Ni-Cd, or Ni-Mh.

Ok the batteries are 2 x 1.2v NiMH (says so on the box!).

Just added a short vid showing turning speed and a couple of comparison shots to a bit clone.

Hope it answers all your questions.

Follow this link, and go to te bottom of the page for the new video

Agreed. Nice work on the vid. It shows a good deal about the performance of these little cars. We apreciate your efforts.

I do have one complaint though. Is there a way to set the MPH on the speed chacker to actual MPH? That scale MPH kills me. There's nothing to compare it to. Maybe next time right?

The best the timer can do is feet per min, I guess that you could work out the mph from that. However, the manual says that it just multiplies the actual speed by 64 to get the scale speed - so It wont make any difference.

I guess that I would need one of them small rolling roads to get an accurate actual (rather than using a $5 toy timer)

OI! I just got one of those at RatShak for $2.60. They were on sale, so I said why not. Not a bad system.

Yo, Pimps!

Yep, back from the dead (again)

Anyone check out the Xtrek pro's at T-R-U?

Only two reviews on the T-R-U web site and both say the Xtrek Pro's are total crap! Please, say it ain't so!

Anyways...holla if ya know anything, dogs. I'm tempted to try out the lil bastards, anyway.

Yep, X trek pro's are too fast and uncontralable and tend to flip over at any given opportunity.

Dag!

The home-grown Xtrek videos make 'em look cool, too!

Oh well, since The Shack gave up on ZZ's and X-Mods, I haven't been able to find descent micro RC (I don't go in for the Hobby Store market--I don't want to get stuck in an hour long convo about how Walmart ruined their business or talked into spending more money than I'd care to).

Silla in Manilla, Gorillas,

Love doc

It seems that news of the ZZ/XMods demise were premature...
