Yep RS has wraped the Zipzap site into their own and radioshack.com

It is looking like RS is going to do away with anything ZipZap.

With the Big Clearance going down now is a good time to buy out your local RS if everthing ZipZap they have.

dang, so much for the fast and furious 3 bodies.

what is amazing though, is that they lasted as long as they did. the whole zzse steering problem was a big fiasco that took way too long to fix, but they made up for that with the zzmt's.

Heh, in some ways this is good news, so I don't have to feel so silly for squirreling away so much ZZ and bit stuff. Always figured there would be a day when you couldn't get them anymore, and I didn't want to run out of supplies. I should be good for at least 10 years at the rate I build things.

If the price comes down again, I'll think about getting a couple SEs.

I had a feeling Zip Zaps wouldn't be around much longer.

I was kinda stocking up, but I mod everything I get. I wish I could stash things away for later like some of you guys.

My kid right at that age where he should be getting it. I really should work with him more. Kinda sucks they didn't hang around long enough for him to be old enough for him to appreciate, but at least I got plenty to play with.

I almost missed out. Its ashame that they went so fast.

I have plenty of stuff stashed, but it would be cool to see them continue on, or atleast still make special editions for movies and stuff. But thats unlikely to happen.

Maybe another company will pick up where RS left off?

Atleast there is a chance that could happen with the Xmod line and HPI.

I went into RS, and some salesman said that supposedly there will be a new generation of ZZ's coming in the near future. I'm not sure if he was full of shit or if he's telling the truth. I pray for the latter........

Hey, I hadn't considered that.
That's what they need to do too, scrap the whole line up, and come out with a better 1/64th RC.

some good news and bad news...

good news is that maybe the zz's aren't dead. three new og zz's show up on the radio shack web site.

bad news is that they are from the upcoming pixar movie "cars".

lightning mcqueen, sally, and mater. lightning mcqueen is a red rx-7ish looking car, sally looks like a carrera, and mater reminds me of a '40s or '50s tow truck.

no pics of the actual bodies on the rs web site yet but here's a link. should show up eventually.

"cars" is slated to be released june 9th and fnf 3 tokyo drift june 17th, so let's hope some more zz's are coming.

It would be cool if that Tow truck could be modded into something that looks like a real tow truck. I hope they are not too cartoonish! Got my fingers crossed!
